Jose Ramos, age 48, of the Bronx, was sentenced to three-and-a-half years behind bars Thursday, June 9, according to the Westchester County DA’s office.
Prosecutors said Ramos got into an altercation with his girlfriend at her Yonkers home just after midnight on October 7, 2021. At some point, he pointed the weapon at the woman’s head.
The victim texted a friend, who then called 911, prosecutors said.
Police arrested Ramos shortly after the incident and seized the gun and a switchblade knife, according to prosecutors.
He later copped to the accusations, pleading guilty to two counts of criminal possession of a weapon, both felonies.
In addition to his prison time, a judge ordered Ramos to complete five years of post-release supervision.
